Philadelphia Fox were a short-lived expansion team in the Women's Professional Basketball League (WBL), playing just ten games during their fateful 1979-80 season. Owned by Eric Kraus, coached by former NBA player Dave Wohl and playing home games at the Philadelphia Civic Center, the team struggled financially from the start, leading to the league revoking Kraus’ ownership and shutting down the team before the season even reached the mid-point.
