Dayton Rockettes were a female pro basketball team based in Dayton, Ohio, competing in the inaugural season of the Women's Professional Basketball League (WBL) in 1978–79. One of eight founding franchises in the WBL, the Rockettes played home games at Hara Arena. The team was owned by Lou Deitelbaum, who ceased financing the franchise midseason, leading to the league taking over operations in February 1979. Efforts to relocate the franchise were unsuccessful, and the Rockettes folded after a trying 12-22 season.
