The Boston Astros were a professional soccer team which particiapted in the American Soccer League (ASL) from 1969 to 1975. Formerly known as the Fall River Astros, the club's Owner, GM and Head Coach was Greek immigrant and former player John Bertos, who financed the club through his janitorial business. During their tenure, the team utlized four home stadiums. The Astros played the longest match in league history, a nine overtime 1-1 tie vs. the New York Apollos in the 1975 ASL Finals.
