The New England Tea Men competed in the North American Soccer League (NASL) from the years 1978 to 1980. The team was not only named after the Boston Tea Party, but also after their owner which was tea company Unilever Lipton. Unfortunately, they failed to live up to the success enjoyed by either of their namesakes. Although the Tea Men did make the playoffs in two of their three seasons, they quickly were eliminated in the 1st Round both times. After the 1978 season, the organization packed its bags and moved to Jacksonville, Florida.

New England Tea Men team colors: red, gold, blue, white.
