St. Louis Streak were a female pro hoops team which played in the Women's Professional Basketball League (WBL) from 1979 to 1981. The team joined as an expansion franchise during the league’s second season, hosting home games at Kiel Auditorium. In their two years, the Streak failed to experience a winning season, as they suffered through internal coach/player conflict and financial instability. After the 1980-81 season, the team and the league would close up shop for good.
