The New Jersey Gems, a franchise in the Women's Professional Basketball League (WBL), played their home games at both Thomas Dunn Sport Center (1978-80) in Elizabeth, New Jersey and South Mountain Arena (1980-81) located in West Orange, New Jersey. The Gems played in all three WBL seasons, making them just one of three teams to do so. The team finished 23-13 in their last season and qualified for the playoffs.
