The Nebraska Wranglers were a short-lived, but successful team in the Women’s Professional Basketball League (WBL), joining as an expansion team for the league’s final 1980-81 season. Based in Omaha, Nebraska, they played their home games at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. Despite their brief existence, the Wranglers achieved a remarkable feat by winning the WBL championship, defeating the Dallas Diamonds in a five-game series.
