The Dayton Rockettes were a women’s professional basketball team that played in the Women’s Professional Basketball League (WBL) during its inaugural 1978-79 season. Based in Dayton, Ohio, they played home games at Hara Arena. Despite their short tenure, the Rockettes were part of the first professional women’s basketball league in the U.S., helping lay the groundwork for future leagues like the WNBA.
