The Pittsburgh Condors were a professional basketball team who played in the American Basketball Association (ABA) from 1970-72. The Condors' predecessors were the Pittsburgh Pipers, who won the inaugural ABA championship in 1968. However, the team's unsuccessful tenure was marred by financial instability, low attendance figures and consecutive losing seasons, leading to the franchise closing up shop and disbanding in 1972.
