The Memphis Pros were a professional team which played in the American Basketball Association (ABA) during the 1970–71 and 1971–72 seasons. The franchise was previously known as the New Orleans Buccaneers, relocating and rebranding to Tennessee in 1970. The Pros faced significant challenges, including poor on court play and financial instability stemming from low attendance figures. The lack of success led to the franchise being sold to local investors in 1972 and being renamed the Memphis Tams.
